MANUEL F. NEGRON

I am currently the Chief of Operations at the Passaic Public Schools where I have been an instructional/operational leader for the past 20 years. I am also a Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) in the U.S. Army Reserves for over 20 years currently part of the 78th Training Division. I consider myself to be a transformational leader that has been placed in tough assignments because I place a strong focus on bringing positive change by transforming the way others in the organization think through a clear and focused vision. Having a strong vision is the foundation to transformational leadership.

THE"URBAN PRINCIPAL"

ONLINE

COMMUNITY

Principals are not only instructional leaders; they also have a key role as community leaders. The Principal builds partnerships with community based organizations, higher education institutions, families, businesses, faith-based organizations, among others to address the needs of their students, families, and the community.  Together, they form the school-site leadership groups that are responsible for planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of the community school strategy.

The "Urban Principal" community was created to collaborate with a network of leaders who share the same day to day challenges, issues, and triumphs encountered in urban districts as you do.
